According to TechCrunch , Instagram is currently testing a new feature – it will be possible to pin posts at the top of the profile. Some users of the platform already have a new context menu item “Pin to your profile” (Pin to your profile).
The feature will work the same as it does on Twitter and TikTok: individual posts will appear at the top of the profile, and content creators will be able to attract the attention of subscribers to important publications without forcing people to scroll through the feed. Instagram – owned company Meta has confirmed to TechCrunch that they are working on a feature that, in their own words, will allow “tagging posts on a profile.” Researcher Alessandro Paluzzi claims that the opportunity first appeared in January.
Now Instagram users * can pin content from Stories to their profiles – bloggers use this feature to organize popular content: a series of questions and answers, event reports and more. When standard posts can also be pinned, influencers will discover an additional source of income for themselves by raising prices for more visible promotional publications.
* Included in the list of public associations and religious organizations in respect of which the court has made a final decision to liquidate or ban activities on the grounds provided for by Federal Law No. 114-FZ of July 25, 2002 “On Counteracting Extremist Activities”.
