In Kyiv, one of the ex-heads of the “LPR police” and a fighter of the armed formation of the “LPR” – “NVB Zarya” was detained and reported on suspicion. The essence of the suspicion is an encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine and participation in the activities of an armed formation not provided for by law.
The suspected militant has already chosen a measure of restraint in the form of detention.
This was reported in the Office of the Prosecutor General on April 27.
According to the investigation, in 2014, a resident of Luhansk supported the so-called referendum on the “independence of the LNR” and voluntarily joined the ranks of the illegal armed group “Dawn”. Later, he took the position of “deputy commander of a platoon of the patrol service of the Lutuginsky district police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LPR.”
It should be noted that the “policeman” took part in military operations against the Armed Forces of Ukraine and law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.
Therefore, under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General, the detainee was informed of suspicion of infringement on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine and participation in the activities of an armed formation not provided for by law (part 2 of article 110, part 2 of article 260 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings is carried out by investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the SBU.
Recall that the Office of the Prosecutor General also reported that the head and 418 deputies of the State Duma of Russia were informed of suspicion of encroaching on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.
