The Tribeca Film Festival organizers have revealed the list of participants for the upcoming Tribeca Games Spotlight indie games presentation, part of the Summer Game Fest 2022 digital festival program.
In total, nine products are announced in the gaming program of the Tribeca Film Festival:
- medieval adventure action game A Plague Tale: Requiem;
- dystopian adventure platformer American Arcadia;
- interactive drama As Dusk Falls;
- The Delicious Last Course add-on to the hardcore action-platformer Cuphead ;
- interactive film trilogy Immortality;
- mystical adventure Oxenfree II: Lost Signals;
- post-apocalyptic platformer The Cub;
- story-driven adventure with Thirsty Suitors turn-based battles;
- culinary visual novel Venba.
It is reported that all of these projects can be tried at home through the Parsec streaming service. The demos will offer 20 to 60 minutes of gameplay and (all but Venba) will require an Xbox controller to try out.
However, not everything is so simple: when the “sale” of tickets opens on May 2 (probably they will be free), users will first need to book a time slot when they want to play this or that demo.
As for the Tribeca Games Spotlight, the broadcast of the presentation will begin on June 10 at 22:00 Moscow time. The organizers promise exclusive footage and interviews with the developers.
The Tribeca Games Spotlight will be available on all major streaming platforms, as well as on the Summer Game Fest website. The digital festival will start in June , probably before the Tribeca show.
