I have long understood for myself that there is nothing more interesting than to quickly get a coveted new product, put a SIM card into it, enter all login passwords and just turn into a buyer for a while – someone who decides to give money for a new device. You know, it’s very sobering and very much puts in place, here you want it or not, but you immediately experience all the chips, feel all the shortcomings, praise, scold, in general, it’s the easiest way to write.
After the presentation of the Meizu M6 Note, we were quickly given the device, I immediately pulled out a “clip” from the key holder, removed the tray, inserted the SIM card, rejoicing at the memory card slot – an unprecedented generosity for Meizu, entered logins and passwords, went to take pictures on the street, waited for my colleagues, then we went to have lunch, then went shopping, then… In general, during this time some impressions appeared. I share them with you and start with the important things.
Camera
In the Meizu line, a smartphone named M6 Note is not a flagship at all, there is no second display, some other mega-chips, rather it is a balanced device for practical people, a real middle segment. It is here that the main struggle for the wallets of the majority of Russian consumers unfolds, among them there are different gentlemen and ladies, with different needs.
It is clear that everyone wants to get as much fat as possible for twenty rubles – and not a penny more! Therefore, manufacturers dodge as best they can. I started with the camera for a reason, at the presentation they talked a lot about it, compared the focusing speed with various modern smartphones, including the iPhone 7 Plus, called the exact name of the module – Sony IMX362. Such a module is used in a variety of devices, HTC U11, Moto Z2, Asus ZenFone 3.
In life, the main camera surprises not only with accurate work during the day – look what they did with the flash: they fit it into the strip of the built-in antenna. As always, we need to make a reservation that the devices were given to us with test firmware, as it will be in commercial samples – we’ll see, but during the day with the help of the M6 Note you can take pictures without any fools. The menu provides a quick transition to portrait mode and video, girls will be pleased with selfies, photos are painfully smooth.
At night, successful shots are obtained either by accident or in skillful hands, since my hands grow from the pelvis, then we will write off photos that are successful in terms of quality to fortune. In general, the camera is ok here, fast focusing, everything is fine during the day and in good lighting, but in other scenarios, sometimes even the iPhone 7 Plus and Pixel give in. You know. Design
I carried the device in my pocket with an iPhone 7 Plus, there were no scratches on the aluminum cover, it’s nice to take the M6 Note in your hand, it’s great, the screen block is interestingly attached to the body – a thick protective glass forms a sort of groove, the smartphone is comfortable to hold in your hand in any situations. The rim of the camera sticks out a little, almost all the holes and buttons are located symmetrically, they just could not resist and slightly raised the SIM card tray. Here it is!
I have been watching Chinese devices for many months (or even years), well, they just can’t place all the elements in the middle of the butt. The buttons have already been done as they should, and the microUSB connector, but it’s impossible to achieve the ideal. The chic button under the screen works very quickly, there is a fingerprint sensor, you can go back – I have said it more than once and I will say it again, this feature is not enough for all modern devices. Touched the button, went back. I put a class. The speaker is loud and working (sorry for the expression), as the M6 Note mini speaker can also be used.
The buttons on the right fit under the finger, switching on and off is instant, the oleophobic coating pleased – the way a good NEW oleophobic coating can please, I have already erased it on my iPhone. The smartphone is comfortable to hold with your shoulder to your ear. The rough back does not slip, I liked the color, in real life it is more likely not gold, but rose gold, in general, stylish. Not gentle, rather just unusual, and it changes depending on the lighting.
The biggest mistake in the case of the M6 Note is to buy a black smartphone. Very beautiful silver, dark blue, yes, even gold, I would directly strongly advise the latter to everyone who has already had ordinary devices stuck on their teeth.
Performance
There will be three versions that differ in memory – 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB for data, 3 GB and 32 GB, 4 GB and 64 GB, since there is a slot for a memory card, you can take at least the basic model. I am sure that 1 GB of RAM will not affect too much even resource-intensive applications if used correctly. You know, even the most productive device can be spoiled with software in such a way that it will lag in most scenarios.
Of the most interesting about the M6 Note is the use of Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and Adreno 506, Flyme 6 with a bunch of interesting features. The main one is an opportunity for easy learning even for those who have encountered Android for the first time, respectively, it can be older people, and your (and my) parents. It is always clear where to click, there is a button, and large icons, and all the main applications. A 4000 mAh battery is also a plus for the older generation, with quiet use, the smartphone will not need to be charged every day. If you are an active user, you will like two nanoSIM slots, each works with LTE, but here you have to choose, either two SIM cards, or a SIM card and a memory card.
Of the chips noticed – the screensaver of the smartphone becomes black and white when it goes into sleep mode, or rather, the image as a whole becomes black and white. A long press on the button below the screen – the transition to sleep mode, and this is also very cool. To activate the device, you do not need passes with hundreds of logins and passwords, this is also nice, you only need a connection to the network, after purchase you can start using it almost instantly.
The headphone jack is still in place, loaded FLAC, spins quite quickly, the sound quality for an inexpensive smartphone is good, that is, there was no desire to spit and finish this business.

Three versions, three prices, 16990, 18990, 24990 rubles. OK? OK.
Verdict
It is quite possible to take a model with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of memory, put a microSD or a second SIM card there, configure it according to your needs and drive like Sivka-Burka for as long as you need. In some Meizu devices, I am confused by the lack of a slot for a SIM card, everything is in place here – however, they write about the limitation in the specifications, cards up to 128 GB are supported. There are no questions about performance, the fashionable curvature here is not wild, but ordinary 2.5D, you can’t accidentally click on the icon, the keyboard is cool by default, there is fast charging. As they say, what more could you want. It is clear that everyone has their own ideas and ideas about beauty, but if I chose an inexpensive smartphone as a second or for my parents, then I would buy my beloved aunt the same machine as you see in the photo. The middle class is an angry class.
