On April 27, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a telephone conversation with President of Indonesia Joko Widodo. The leader of this state invited Ukraine to take part in the G20 summit.
Zelensky thanked Widodo for inviting him to take part in the G20 summit.
The President of Ukraine announced this on the Web.
“I held talks with Indonesian President Joko Widodo. I thanked for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, in particular, for a clear position in the UN. We discussed food security issues. I am grateful for the invitation to take part in the G20 summit,” Zelensky said in a statement.
It should be noted that it is Indonesia that will chair the meeting of the G20 countries in 2022, and the meeting itself will be held in November.
Recall that in April , a meeting of G20 finance ministers was held in Washington. Although it was closed, details were leaked to the press: they did not want to listen to the representative of Russia, and representatives of several countries defiantly left the hall, including Ukraine.
