Xiaomi announces GamePad Elite Edition controller with Steam support for $50

The Chinese company Xiaomi has announced a game controller called the GamePad Elite Edition. The novelty received an original design and boasts compatibility with a large number of devices, including smart TVs, smartphones and computers, as well as with the Steam platform.

The Xiaomi GamePad Elite Edition controller is made in a gray plastic case. The design provides four buttons A, B, X and Y, as well as a pair of sticks and other familiar controls. At the bottom of the case are two buttons for the ring fingers. According to the manufacturer, the resource of the buttons is at least 1 million clicks.

To synchronize the gamepad, you can use the built-in Bluetooth 5.0 module or the 2.4G wireless USB receiver included in the kit. It is reported that there is a Nordic chip that ensures uninterrupted wireless communication. The package also includes a removable bracket designed to mount a smartphone.

The crowdfunding campaign to raise funds to launch mass production of the Xiaomi GamePad Elite Edition starts on April 27. For the duration of its validity, the cost of the device will be about $50, while after the start of sales, its price will rise to $60.
