In the chernozems, not far from Makarov, sappers destroyed the ammunition load of the Russian Mi-8 helicopter, which our army men hard-grounded at the beginning of a full-scale invasion.
The field, which was supposed to be sown with Ukrainian wheat, is strewn with enemy iron, because a Russian Mi-8 fell here, which our armed forces shot down back in March, TSN says.
Our army men, two weeks after the helicopter crash, got to it after the liberation of the Kiev region from the invaders and filmed footage of enemy aircraft. And Ukrainian sappers have already arrived. Our army men hard-landed the Russian iron armored car not only with five crew members, who are still here in the Ukrainian black soil, but also with a half-full ammunition load. “It’s fragmentation. The engine may work, it may go in the direction of the village, ”the bombs that the helicopter was equipped with show.
So it is impossible to transport these missiles, the sappers decide to undermine them right on this field. First, they dig in the remnants of ammunition with earth. Then blocks with rocket shells are carefully tied with TNT. The sappers block the road, which is located near the field and on which civilian vehicles travel freely, everyone present has to move away. And then they already produce a controlled undermining.
The explosion was so powerful that the fragments scattered for tens of meters around, and also set fire to dry grass.
This Russian transport-combat helicopter is one of more than one and a half hundred that the Ukrainian armed forces destroyed during the two months of the war. The Kremlin used Soviet Mi-8s in the war in Afghanistan and now with Ukraine. The sides are capable of transporting not only weapons, but also troops.
And as the Russians did not brag about the incredible power of this machine, the Ukrainian armed forces proved that they are not capable of resisting the latest Stingers, nor the skill of our shooters.
