Ukraine supplied 10% of all grain worldwide.
US President Joe Biden makes a statement on the situation in Ukraine.
In particular, during the statement, the American leader stressed that due to the war in Ukraine, which unleashed the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, it is impossible to export grain, and this will lead to higher prices.
“Ukraine is one of the largest agricultural producers. 10% of all the grain that was shipped around the world is impossible through Putin. Food supplies to other countries of the world are impossible. Putin says that this is because of the sanctions, but this is not true. Not because for sanctions, and through Putin it is impossible to export grain and other food products from Ukraine around the world. This will lead to higher prices both in Ukraine and abroad. This will be a consequence of the war between Ukraine and Russia,” Biden said.
He added that producers of grain and solar oil expect many negative consequences.
“Additional funding to be provided will also include expansion of domestic production in order to accumulate stocks of critical materials such as nickel. We need to do everything possible to secure strategic stocks of cars and other equipment,” the US president said.
Recall that on April 28, the German Bundestag supported the provision of heavy weapons to Ukraine. Both the opposition and the coalition voted for this decision.
