The Russian invaders forcibly deported more than 30 thousand residents of Mariupol to the territory of the Russian Federation. First, people are taken to filtration camps, and after them – either to the previously occupied areas of the Donetsk region, or to the territory of Russia.
Such filtration camps are, for example, settlements along the coast of the Sea of Azov.
This was announced by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavlo Kirilenko at a briefing on April 28, Interfax-Ukraine writes .
“They (the invaders – ed.) take them to their so-called filtration camps, which are located near Mariupol. These are, for example, settlements along the coast of the Sea of Azov. Taking people there, they distribute them to women with children and men . They are divided according to age criteria And after that they take away the documents certifying that they are citizens of Ukraine ,” Kirilenko said.
He added that the occupiers distribute certificates developed according to their own samples to Mariupol residents and after that they are already forcibly taken to the previously occupied territories of the Donetsk region or to the territory of the Russian Federation.
Recall that on April 23, the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights, Lyudmila Denisova, reported that the Russian invaders were taking people out of the temporarily occupied territories and forcing them to undergo “filtering” that lasted for several days. According to the results of those who passed it, appropriate papers are issued, and the fate of those who did not pass is unknown.
