The Israeli Foreign Ministry called on its citizens to leave the so-called “MRT” as soon as possible and refrain from future trips. The country’s government believes that the security situation in Transnistria has worsened at present.
“Due to the deteriorating security situation in the Transnistrian region and given that the ability of the Foreign Ministry to provide assistance to Israeli citizens living in Israel is limited, Israeli citizens are urged to leave Transnistria as soon as possible. In addition, the Foreign Ministry calls on Israeli citizens who plan to come to Transnistria in the near future, cancel your trip at this time,” the statement said.
Also on April 28, the Foreign Ministries of Germany, Bulgaria, Great Britain and France called on their citizens to leave Pridnestrovie, because “the security situation has worsened” there. Also, countries do not recommend visiting the occupied territory.
A day earlier, on April 27, the US Department of Foreign Affairs raised the risk level for travel to Transnistria, and also urged citizens to immediately travel to a safe place.
The Canadian Foreign Ministry reported that there is a risk of military conflict in the so-called “MRT”. Therefore, citizens should leave Transnistria and refuse future trips. Those who stay there are asked to be as careful as possible.
