Yandex has expanded the capabilities of its meteorological service. From now on, Yandex.Weather can generate thematic forecasts for those users whose hobbies depend on weather conditions.

Forecasts of the new format will contain information that is important for a particular lesson. Thematic forecasts for gardeners have now been launched: they include information about humidity, soil temperature and the likelihood of frost. Such data will help plan plantings and decide whether to open greenhouses.

Thematic weather forecasts are based on Meteum technology based on machine learning. It uses information not only from meteorological instruments and weather stations, but also from millions of users of the service. Meteum allows you to calculate the weather forecast up to the microdistrict.

Data for water sports enthusiasts is already being tested, then a forecast for fishermen, tourists, cyclists and runners will appear.
