Realme 9 was launched in India, the sixth member of the Realme 9 family. The device was the first smartphone in the world to feature the latest 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor, although more recently, ahead of the Realme 9 Pro+ announcement, the company was looking for ways to explain to the public why so many megapixels is not always good. The strengths of the HM6 are the new Nonapixel Plus binning technology, improved autofocus and the ability to gather 123% more light than the HM2. It comes with an 8-megapixel wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
Curiously, Realme 9 has a lot in common with the same Realme 9 Pro +: it has a design similar as two drops of water (and the same dimensions), and a 90 Hz AMOLED screen with a built-in fingerprint scanner, and even 3.5 mm audio jack. Key difference: Snapdragon 680 chipset and increased to 5000 mAh battery with reduced power to 33 watts. Realme 9 will hit the Indian shelves on April 12 in black, white and orange colors. The choice will be offered configurations of 6/128 and 8/128 GB for 17,999 and 18,999 rupees, respectively.
