The Chinese are still celebrating the New Year, and therefore all the main work is put on pause. But when this pause is over, a lot of interesting things await us. In particular, at the end of February, the announcement of the Redmi K50 quartet should take place. All devices will be very different, each will have its own characteristics, although there are not as many details as we would like. Quite curious information has appeared on social networks, which includes the basic advantages and prices of all four models. Let’s make a reservation right away that the source does not have a reputation for being verified, but all this information is consistent with previously available data.
- Redmi K50: Snapdragon 870, 67W charging – 1999 yuan (23,780 rubles)
- Redmi K50 Pro: MediaTek Dimensity 8000, 67W charging – 2699 yuan (32,120 rubles)
- Redmi K50 Pro +: MediaTek Dimensity 9000, 120W charging – 3299 yuan (39,225 rubles)
- Redmi K50 Gaming Enhanced Edition: Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 120W charging – 3499 yuan (41,640 rubles)
Note that the composition of the Redmi K line was the same last year, but the Redmi K40 series was different in content. In particular, the role of the main force was assigned to Redmi K40 Pro and K40 Pro + on Snapdragon 888, the base model was also built on Snapdragon 870 a year ago, and the only MediaTek representative was Redmi K40 GE on Dimensity 1200. This time, the new generation gaming smartphone will allegedly be given the best and the most expensive hardware, which will help Xiaomi with the breeding of Xiaomi 12 and Redmi K50 in terms of positioning (the gaming phone will not interfere with the older family). Redmi K50 Pro + can get Xiaomi level 12 in photo and video, but cheaper due to MediaTek, which will also contribute to the positioning logic. This also explains the price ratio, if, of course, the above information is true. The announcement is expected in the second half of February.
