The Lapsus$ hacker group, which hacked Nvidia servers a week earlier, has also reached Samsung. The attack on the Korean tech giant resulted in the leak of 190 GB of confidential information. It is claimed that the archive posted on the Web includes biometric unlocking algorithms (including work with a fingerprint scanner at the lowest software level), the source codes of the bootloaders of all the brand’s newest devices, including Knox data, confidential source codes from Qualcomm and much more.

In addition, the archive also revealed information that Samsung is testing its Galaxy Buds, comparing them with Apple AirPods. Also in the laboratories of the Koreans, an experimental iPhone and Google Pixel 4 were lit up. According to experts, the stolen data can be used to hack Samsung devices. It is currently unknown if Samsung received a ransom demand for the stolen data.
