MediaTek Dimensity 1300 Announcement – Hit Update

April 11, 2022, 09:11

MediaTek quietly introduced the new sub-flagship chipset Dimensity 1300. It is a direct successor to the Dimensity 1200 , which has become the basis of many hit smartphones of the past year, and does not differ from it in terms of architecture. So, the same four powerful Cortex-A78 cores are used here (one ultra-powerful up to 3 GHz and three regular ones up to 2.6 GHz) plus four energy-efficient Cortex-A55 up to 2.0 GHz. The ARM Mali-G77 graphics accelerator also remained unchanged, which, however, now supports HyperEngine 5.0 gaming optimization technology instead of 3.0. In fact, this is the only difference (and that is software) from the Dimensity 1200, which means that we should expect a similar or slightly higher level of performance. The first MediaTek Dimensity 1300 based smartphone is rumored to be the quirky OnePlus Nord 2T .
