This night, the news spread across the Web that Apple has removed the TikTok app from the App Store for Russia. At first glance, this decision might seem strange, because hosting is not affected by any sanctions, and downloading videos to users from Russia has not been available for a long time. In fact, it turned out that everything is much simpler: the AppStore really doesn’t find anything for the request “TikTok”, but you just need to change the request to “TikTok” or “TikTok (TikTok)” (yes, that’s right, without a space) – the application is right there is displayed and allows itself to be set. Presumably, this is due to the incorrect development of App Store search algorithms, which no one double-checked before publishing high-profile headlines about “TikTok removal in Russia.”
