This was announced by the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko in Telegram.
“Today, April 30, our Latvian partners, a delegation from the Riga Mayor’s Office, donated 11 modern passenger buses to Kyiv as assistance. As well as humanitarian aid. This is very important for us today. We need to renew and increase the public transport fleet. Move around the city , especially in these difficult conditions, comfortable for the people of Kiev,” Klitschko said.
The mayor of Kyiv thanked the vice-mayor of Riga, Edwards Smiltens, for his visit to personally convey this assistance and support the people of Kiev.
“For us, this is evidence of Latvia’s solidarity with Ukraine, its capital, with the Ukrainian people in our struggle for our independence and freedom,” he added.
