But as the inhabitants of Odessa joke, these explosions are soothing, because Ukrainian air defense was working at night. On the eve of combat duty, it was the new equipment provided to Ukraine by foreign partners. So the Odessa sky is now even better guarded, and this gives hope, because the shelling has become more frequent.
In recent days, the Russians have been shelling both the Odessa region and the entire country from submarines with Caliber cruise missiles. Therefore, the Ukrainian military is thinking about how to prevent these attacks. The day before, the gunners conducted a firing exercise on the naval unit, hinting at the enemy that any landing would end with a meeting with the sunken cruiser Moskva.
Regarding the protracted curfew – it is introduced for a day and a half from 10 pm on May 1 to 5 am on May 3. At this time, traffic in Odessa will work only for employees of strategic enterprises, the auto and railway stations will completely stop. All to avoid provocations on the anniversary of the tragedy. It was the Russian special services that provoked the events that led to numerous casualties on May 2, 2014.
Such a long hour in Odessa was already on April 10, so this is not surprising for the citizens. They are urged not to believe fakes and prepare for a one and a half day stay in their homes.
