The Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told about the personality of the legendary “Phantom of Kyiv”. All the pilots of the 40th tactical aviation brigade of the Air Force turned out to be a superhero.
At the same time, the pilot Stepan Tarabalka, who was considered the “Ghost of Kyiv” in Ukraine, did not actually shoot down 40 aircraft, as there were numerous rumors. Taralka died on March 13, 2022 in an air battle with Russian invaders.
This is stated on Facebook by the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Hero of Ukraine Stepan Taralka is not the Ghost of Kiev and he did not shoot down 40 planes. On March 13, 2022, Major Stepan Taralka died heroically in an air battle with superior forces of the Russian invaders,” the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized .
The Ukrainian invaders say that in fact the “ghost of Kyiv” is a composite image of all the pilots of the 40th tactical aviation brigade of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The ghost of Kyiv is a legendary superhero whose figure was created by Ukrainians! It is rather a composite image of the pilots of the 40th tactical aviation brigade of the Air Force who protect the sky of the capital. And suddenly appear where they are not expected!” command says.
In addition, the Air Force denied other fakes that are actively spreading throughout Ukraine. So, it turned out that “military pilots are not yet studying abroad on the F-16, no matter how much we all would like to.”
In addition, American bombers do not fly over Ukraine either.
“Keep calm and use official sources of information,” the military emphasized once again.
Recall that as of April 30, the Russian invaders lost 190 aircraft in Ukraine .
