Ukrainian intelligence found Russian military aircraft and the Iskander division on the territory of Belarus.
This was announced by the representative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Motuzyanyk during a briefing.
“As it became known to our intelligence, at the airfield in the Brest region of Belarus, at a distance of 130 km from the state border with Ukraine, there are six aircraft of Russian tactical aviation. And also in the Mogilev region, at a distance of 170 km from the border with Ukraine, a division of tactical missile system “Iskander”, – said Motuzyanyk.
Regarding the operational situation in the Volyn and Polesye directions, he noted that so far everything remains without significant changes there.
According to the speaker, the units of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to carry out tasks to strengthen the Belarusian-Ukrainian border in the Brest and Gomel regions.
“At the same time, it is not excluded that the enemy will carry out provocations with subsequent accusation of them to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There is also a threat of missile attacks on the territory of the military and civilian infrastructure of Ukraine from the territory of the Belarusian Republic to the opponents,” Motuzyanyk said.
Recall that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine warned of possible missile strikes by Russian troops from the Black Sea . After all, the Russian Federation has concentrated there three carriers of cruise missiles of the Caliber type. The total salvo of these carriers is about 20 missiles.
