From May 1, Ukrainians will face important changes related to the war and the situation in the world. What Ukrainians need to be ready for in May – in the material TSN.ua
There will be no holidays in May
There will be no traditional days off that Ukrainians had in May. This refers to the weekend on Labor Day – May 1 and Victory Day over Nazism in World War II – May 9. The Law of Ukraine ” On the organization of labor relations under martial law ” No. 2136-XI dated March 15, 2022 established new rules for days off during the war.
Not all internally displaced persons will receive assistance from the state
Since May, the rules for paying benefits to internally displaced persons (IDPs) have changed. We are talking about monthly assistance of UAH 2,000 for an adult and UAH 3,000 for a child or a person with a disability. Since May, assistance has been paid only to displaced persons who have moved from regions where hostilities are taking place or from occupied places, or to those displaced persons whose housing as a result of the war turned out to be destroyed or uninhabitable (for which an application was submitted in “Action”).
Fuel prices will rise
The increase in fuel prices at gas stations in certain regions of the country is the result of attacks on the fuel infrastructure of Ukraine. First of all, we are talking about the destruction of the Kremenchug Oil Refinery, which was the main producer of fuel in Ukraine. And although, as reported by the First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko, the fuel shortage will be eliminated in the next 7 days, a slight increase in the price of oil products is expected.
The procedure for calculating pensions in case of loss of a breadwinner will change
Family members of missing persons will be able to receive a survivor’s pension. You can file a complaint about a missing person by calling the National Police hotline: 089 420 18 67. One month after the date of entering information about the disappearance of a person in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations, family members of such people can receive pensions.
PrivatBank will close some accounts
From May 1, PrivatBank closes the Bonus+ account. All unused funds on virtual accounts will be directed to the needs of the army and the restoration of Ukraine.
The procedure for extending and reassigning all types of social payments has changed
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has canceled procedures related to the provision of supporting documents for the extension of social benefits or their reassignment. In practice, this means that if before a certain period it was necessary to submit documents to the social service to extend payments, now social payments will be accrued automatically. Documents will need to be submitted only one month after the end of martial law.
