US Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger announced the introduction of a general resolution that would allow the use of US military forces to protect the territorial integrity of Ukraine if Russia uses weapons of mass destruction.
Republican Congressman and former Air Force pilot Adam Kinzinger has announced a resolution calling for the use of US troops to defend Ukraine if Russian dictator Vladimir Putin escalates.
This is stated in a message on the congressman’s official page , published on Sunday, May 1.
“I present this AUMF (Authorization of the Use of Armed Forces Resolution – ed.) as a clear red line so that the administration can take appropriate action in the event that Russia uses chemical, biological and / or nuclear weapons. We must stand in defense of humanity, and we must also be together with our allies, ”said the American legislator.
Kinzinger recalled that US President Joe Biden has repeatedly noted the need to stop Putin. In this regard, he stressed that such statements are important, but it is also important to take practical steps.
“So, the commander in chief of the largest militaries in the world must have the authority and means to take the necessary actions,” the congressman emphasized.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden said that Russia is the aggressor, and the world must be held accountable.
