In Russia, two emergencies occurred near Ukraine on May 1 – ammunition depots exploded near Belgorod and exploded on a railway bridge near Kursk.

In the border areas of Russia, emergencies often occur during April, which can be used by Russian troops to invade Ukraine.

Officially, the Ukrainian authorities do not recognize their involvement in these events.

In the afternoon of May 1, Russian media reported a new explosion near Belgorod. A photo of smoke was visible in the photo on social networks.

Later, Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported a fire on the territory of one of the facilities of the Russian Defense Ministry, he promised to clarify information about the victims and the destruction.

Some time later, he announced one lightly injured person and seven damaged homes.

The media pointed out that the explosion took place in Streletsky. This is a village near Belgorod, which reportedly houses an ammunition depot.

Russian media add that the explosion occurred at an ammunition depot near Tomarivka, west of Belgorod.

Correspondents from the scene point out that explosions were heard in the warehouse, ambulances were driving in the footage of the inclusions, and columns of smoke were rising.

Railway bridge near Kursk

On May 1, there was also an accident on the railway bridge near Kursk – it collapsed.

“Today, at about 11:20 a.m. on the 67th kilometer of the Suja-Sosnovyi Bir railway, a partial collapse of the bridge structures was detected. The railway branch was used to move warehouses. There are no casualties. .

“It was a sabotage, the information was confirmed, the law enforcement agencies will investigate,” said the governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoit.

Dozens of incidents and fires with military facilities have occurred in recent weeks in Russia’s border regions with Russia. The Russian authorities have accused Ukraine of some of them, but the Ukrainian authorities do not officially take responsibility.

There were explosions of the oil depot, accidents on railway bridges and explosions in ammunition depots.

Russia uses the border areas with Ukraine as the main rear base for the war.
