Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, explained why Russian troops continuously continue their offensive.
He believes that this is done in order to prevent Ukraine from accumulating sufficient stocks of Western weapons , which are needed to go on the offensive.
The adviser to the head of the OP expressed his opinion in a conversation with Russian human rights activist Mark Feigin on Tuesday, May 3.
“A curious plan has matured in the Russian command. Terrible in its rationality, especially for Russian mothers. I have an assumption and it sounds very simple. They understand that we are accumulating Western military resources. And why do they continuously continue the offensive? Because their task is prevent us from accumulating reserves at this stage in a commercial quantity that will allow us to go on the offensive, so that we cannot create reserves that will allow us to create shock groups and go on the offensive.
To do this, they use the tactics of continuous pressure, which forces us to react anyway. After all, we cannot wait until our soldiers are mixed with sand. And accordingly, these human waves that they prepare on the equipment of the 60s and actively go in our direction, they are designed to make us exhausted, unable to rotate. This accumulates errors, accumulates attrition, loss of equipment and personnel. And so that we would drive the small portions that come in there and, under the constant pressure of the Russian troops, in small portions they would die or fail there, exhaust the resource, ammunition, and so on.
Basically, it’s a very reasonable story in this particular situation. Realizing that the race of potentials is not in favor of Russia. Especially if they have any specific deadlines. But this is a cannibalistic tactic against the Russian army. Russian mothers must understand that they are finishing Ukrainian shells at the cost of their sons’ lives. This is a completely conscious decision. Continuously drive men, sons, brothers, grandfathers so that Western weapons are completed before Ukrainian troops have time to accumulate them,” Arestovich said.
Recall, the adviser to the head of the President’s Office also spoke about how the Russian occupation troops continue to suffer defeat on the territory of Ukraine.
