The prima ballerina told what Andrey Yermak talked about with cultural figures.
Kateryna Kukhar spoke on Instagram about the meeting of Ukrainian cultural figures with the head of the Office of the Head of State Andriy Yermak, which took place via videoconference.
The ballerina said that they talked about the importance of art on the cultural front in the fight against the occupiers.
“We talked about the fact that artists are a cultural front and art is our weapon, that we must continue our creativity, because in this way we raise morale and inspire people to win. We must continue to tell the whole world that there is a terrible war going on in Ukraine, that we must present our Ukrainian cultural product to the whole world. I said that it is incredibly important now to present to the whole world the pearl of the Ukrainian ballet “The Fox Song”, “Lileya”,” said the prima ballerina.
Kuhar recalled the many charity performances in European countries in which she took part during the war. The ballet star also spoke about the March charity gala concert in support of Ukraine at the Opera National de Paris. The proceeds from the sale of tickets for the event (300,000 euros) were sent by Alliance Urgences Ukraine. She also mentioned performances in France organized by Alexander Stoyanov. During them, funds were raised for the purchase of a medical vehicle for the Lviv region. As well as a solidarity tour in Norway.
“The beloved Ukrainian ballet of our audience, The Fox Song, should be seen by the whole world to identify and popularize the cultural heritage of the country. And also to continue talking about the bloody war around the world! It was this idea that was voiced at a meeting of cultural figures in the President’s Office,” Kateryna wrote in social media post.
