Roman Gorbach, Head of the Personnel Department of the Headquarters of the Command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that the conscription of those who have experience in military service or experience in training meetings during martial law continues.
According to him, mobilization in Ukraine is carried out depending on the needs. If it is strengthened, not only officers, but also sergeants and soldiers will most likely be mobilized.
Gorbach said this during a briefing.
“There were no waves of mobilization, we have only one . In one period we mobilized more, in the second less, now we are mobilizing even less. And the next wave is not yet expected. Even if we assume that it will be, they will mobilize not only officers. Everyone depends on the situation in the battle formations and on the needs of the servicemen. Maybe they will be officers, maybe they will be sergeants, maybe soldiers,” says Gorbach.
According to him, those liable for military service were called up for military service in military specialties.
“They were called up for military registration specialties. Those who were not in direct lines were retrained for some time. We are also now calling on those who have experience in military service or experience in passing a training meeting during martial law,” Gorbach noted.
He notes that today, compared to 2014, people are more motivated, and those who dodge their duty are few now.
“These are much more motivated people, and this is happening, perhaps, because now we have a war on a much larger scale, and almost all people are imbued with the need to defend the state. No one will do this except us. Therefore, the motivation is now for military service is quite high. There are indeed people who evade this duty, but they are few, and this has almost no effect on the overall picture, “Gorbach emphasized.
Recall, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine said that Ukraine will not announce the next stage of mobilization yet.
