The order was issued by the “power” of the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic”. Thus, local residents leave the opportunity to follow the news and communicate with relatives.
This was announced by the head of the Luhansk police department Sergei Gaidai.
According to him, people’s phones and tablets will be checked for the presence of “objectionable” social networks, dialogues with relatives living outside the “republic”. People in a hurry began to leave social networks and “clear” phone numbers.
“They want to limit freedom of speech. That is, to isolate the population from the ability to choose those channels of information that people want to follow, analyze and keep abreast of events. This also applies to communication with relatives who have a point of view different from the opinion of the leadership of the “LPR” and Russia
Gaidai appealed to the residents of the Lugansk region: he asks them not to succumb to provocation and continue to use trusted sources of information.
In addition, people’s personal belongings will be confiscated for 30 days, and they will also be threatened with punishment. However, whether things will be returned is unknown.
