Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi criticized the Italian television channel Rete4 for a scandalous interview with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in which he compared Zelensky to Hitler.
Mario Draghi reacted emotionally to the unsuccessful interview and called it “a session of political agitation.”
It is reported by La Repubblica .
The Prime Minister of Italy noted that in his state, unlike Russia, there is freedom of the press and speech, even if these statements are “clearly false and erroneous.”
“But it’s worth asking the question, is it acceptable to invite someone for an interview and not respond at the same time to his statement? This is clearly not an achievement (interviewer – ed.). What Lavrov said is a mistake. The part about Hitler is really indecent. Television is free broadcasts these thoughts. They said that there would be an interview, but in fact it was a session of political agitation,” Draghi said.
Mediaset itself, which owns Rete4, defended the program. Like, Lavrov is “the second person in Russia”, and the interview with him is supposedly “a document of modern history.”
Recall that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called the Jews “the most bitter anti-Semites”, which greatly outraged the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
In addition, Lavrov compared Zelensky with Hitler, which actually denied the tragedy of the Holocaust .
