Ukrtelecom confirmed the resumption of Internet services in Kherson and the region. Currently, Internet services are available in 85% of the settlements of the region, where there is an operator’s network, the press service of the Internet provider reported.

In general, Internet access services are provided in 87% of settlements connected to Ukrtelecom’s networks and are available in all regions except Lugansk. Also, over the past day, the operator’s emergency recovery teams completed repair work on the main line in the Kharkiv region. The company’s signalers monitor the state of networks 24/7 in Ukraine and do their best to restore lost services as soon as possible.

Mobile communication in Kherson and the region has also been restored. This was announced by the Ukrainian mobile operator lifecell and the Ministry of Digital Development. The technical teams of lifecell and Kyivstar tested the network and found the place of the break, after which lifecell took up restoration.
The team twice went out for repairs, but returned due to enemy shelling. Yesterday, one of the operators partially launched voice communications, and this morning, it was possible to complete the restoration of the damaged optical network and launch the networks of all three mobile operators.
Due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and damage to base stations and networks, many cities and towns had interruptions in communication, and in some regions it was completely absent. Kherson is one of them. On April 30, as a result of hostilities, the enemy broke off a serviceable optical cable that went from a neighboring city to Kherson. It was he who ensured the operation of base stations in the Kherson region. After that, Russian infidels began to redirect the Internet in the Kherson region through Rostelecom.
