"An attempt to do something big and ugly": Arestovich explained the massive missile strikes of the Russian invaders

The adviser to the head of the OPU believes that by attacking the Ukrainian railway infrastructure, Russia is preparing for another big offensive.

Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, explained the reasons for the massive rocket attacks that the Russian occupiers had inflicted on the infrastructure providing rail transportation in Ukraine over the past two days.

He spoke about this in a conversation with Russian human rights activist Mark Feigin.

Arestovich recalled that on Wednesday, May 4, the Russians were very active in attacking Nikolaev, the Dnieper and the Kyiv region with cruise missiles.

“Yesterday it was similar. They targeted electrical substations that ensure the movement of trains by rail. It is clear why – because they see a real threat in the supplies of the West and are trying to disrupt them,” he said.

According to Aleksey Arestovich, such attacks happen before any major military operation, so we can expect a new stage of the so-called “second phase of the offensive” from the Russian army.

“Strikes on infrastructure, and on a strategic scale, can mean an attempt to do something big and nasty,” he stressed.

Recall that due to rocket attacks, a number of trains are moving with a delay.
