The Hungarian government believes that they made the right decision by banning the transportation of weapons to Ukraine through the territory of their state.
The Hungarian government commented on the first rocket attack on the territory of Transcarpathia since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine.
As Infopost reports on Wednesday, May 4, the Hungarian Foreign Ministry’s Secretary of State for Information, Tomasz Menzer, called the decision of his government to ban the transport of weapons to Ukraine correct.
“This attack shows that we made the right decision when we decided not to send weapons to war,” Mentzer said.
He believes that military cargoes can become targets for Russian attack if they cross the Hungarian-Ukrainian border.
The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also noted that he is constantly in touch with the Hungarian Embassy in Uzhgorod.
Recall that on Tuesday, May 3, an enemy rocket hit one of the railway substations near the railway station in Volovets.
