The Prince of Wales came to honor the country’s best musical talent at a ceremony hosted by the Royal College of Music (RCM).
The Prince of Wales, 73, in his capacity as President of the RCM, made an annual visit to the London Conservatory where he presented awards to artists including Grammy-nominated saxophonist Amy Dixon and composer Anna Meredith.
The heir has been President of London College for 20 years and has given awards to artists over the past two decades, including Alfie Boe and Paul McCartney.

Charles also met with RCM junior students and young musicians studying musical instruments through RCM Sparks, the college’s outreach program.
RCM Director Prof Colin Lawson said of the Prince of Wales’ visit: “The President’s visit is always a highlight of the Royal College of Music calendar and this year we are honoring the contributions of outstanding musicians from around the world, many of whom are Royal College of Music alumni.”
