Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, said that there was no instant and powerful offensive by Russian troops in Donbas, because the invaders are trying to deplete the Armed Forces of Ukraine so that Ukrainian troops cannot accumulate Western support in the required amount.
According to Arestovich , the Russian occupiers do not give the Ukrainian troops the opportunity to accumulate and everything “that we could accumulate – we shoot in a day.”
The adviser to the head of the OP told about this on air on Channel 24.
“This prevents us from gathering forces for a counteroffensive . There will be no such danger as it was at the beginning of the war. But we will have to fight for a long time and stop all these offensives,” Arestovich predicts.
He added that such a delay on the part of Russia will lead not only to the impossibility of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to launch a counteroffensive, but will also slowly deplete the Ukrainian economy and army. That is what the invaders are counting on.
“I don’t think it will be like this, I believe that America’s lend-lease will defeat Russian attempts. But this can definitely go on for months, so we need to tune in that the conflict will be long and bloody,” the adviser to the head of the presidential office warned.
Recall, the day before, military expert Oleg Zhdanov predicted that the war in Ukraine would last until 2023.
