Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russian propagandists have been coming up with new fakes every day to discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Experts from the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine have collected a selection of fakes, manipulations and disinformation stuffing that the enemy produced during May 4.
This is stated in the message of the Center for Combating Disinformation in the Telegram channel.
List of fakes, misinformation and manipulations:
- The Warsaw City Hall announced that “from May 4, 2022, the decoration of vehicles with Ukrainian flags will stop,” and Russian propagandists transformed the “solidarity is over—Ukrainian flags have disappeared from Warsaw buses” into an anti-Ukrainian thesis. Warning: This is manipulation!
- The Russian media continue to replicate the thesis about the dangers of anti-Russian sanctions for the EU countries. The propagandists reported that “because of the sanctions in France, the tariffs for a communal apartment increased by 483%.” Warning: This is manipulation!
- Russian propagandists, pulling out of context the phrase of the Italian newspaper “Corriere della Sera”, reported that “Rome’s refusal of Russian gas will leave more than 500 thousand Italians unemployed, and this is only the beginning, as the crisis will further penetrate other industrial sectors.” Warning: This is manipulation!
Recall that earlier the Center for Strategic Research under the National Security and Defense Council reported about the Russian propagandist and head of the Guild of Interethnic Journalism of the Russian Federation, a member of the commission on patriotic and spiritual and moral education of children and youth Margarita Lyanga, who spreads fakes about Ukraine.
