The occupiers do not stop advancing in the Eastern Operational Zone in order to establish full control over the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and keep the land corridor with the temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea.

This is stated in the construction of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of the morning of May 4.

The occupiers launched rocket attacks on objects in the territory of Dnepropetrovsk, Kirovograd, Lvov, Vinnitsa, Kyiv, Zakarpattia, Odessa and Donetsk regions in order to destroy the transport infrastructure.

In the Volyn and Polesye directions , the enemy did not conduct active operations, no signs of the formation of offensive groupings were found.

In the Seversk direction, no signs of the formation of an offensive grouping by the enemy were found. As part of strengthening the security of a section of the Russian-Ukrainian border, units of the Russian armed forces from the Central Military District have been deployed in the areas of the Novye Yurkovichi, Pogar and Lomakovka automobile checkpoints in the Bryansk region.

In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy shelled the city of Kharkov and the settlement of Protopopovka from artillery and mortars. In Mariupol , the Russian occupiers continue to inflict air strikes and carry out a fiery defeat of our positions in the Azovstal area.

In the Zaporozhye direction , the enemy carried out assault operations in the direction of the Orekhov settlement, but was not successful.

More than 100 bodies of mobilized servicemen of the 1st Army Corps, who died in the Zaporozhye region, were delivered to the central morgue in Horlivka.

In the Yuzhnobuzhsky direction, the invaders tried to destroy the fortification equipment of the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy used artillery, multiple rocket launchers, and armament of tanks along the entire line of collision. In the Bessarabian direction, the situation remains tense and controlled.

Over the previous day, air defense units of the Air Force and the Ground Forces hit seven enemy UAVs and 8 cruise missiles, the data is being specified.

On the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the past day, 12 enemy attacks were repulsed, 6 tanks, 5 artillery systems (3 of them multiple rocket launchers), 15 units of armored combat vehicles and 9 vehicles of the enemy were destroyed. The enemy has losses in other directions as well.
