Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak discussed with advisers to the heads of the United States, Great Britain, Germany and France security guarantees for Ukraine, as well as the situation at the front.
Yermak also discussed with advisers to the heads of Western countries the preparation of a new sanctions package against the Russian Federation.
He announced this on his channel in Telegram.
“Met with National Security Adviser to the US President Jacob Sullivan, National Security Adviser to the British Prime Minister Stephen Lovegrove, Foreign Policy Adviser to the German Chancellor Jens Platner, Adviser to the President of the French Republic on Relations with Ukraine and Russia Isabelle Dumont and others representatives of the French side,” Yermak said.
According to him, during this meeting, together with Western partners, he continued to discuss the issue of future security guarantees for Ukraine.
“I stressed that Ukraine is interested in receiving clear and specific guarantees, since now we are faced with Russian aggression,” the head of the President’s Office said.
The parties also discussed the situation at the front. According to Yermak, he said that the most difficult situation remains in the south-east of Ukraine.
“A separate topic during the meeting was the evacuation of people from Mariupol and Azovstal, which the Russians continue to bomb. In a conversation with our allies, I said that Ukraine is doing and will do everything to free all our people,” the message says.
The parties also discussed the preparation of a new sanctions package against Russia, including the proposals of the Plan of the McFaul-Yermak group.
“We are increasing pressure on Russia, bringing Ukraine’s victory closer,” the head of the OPU summed up.
