Zelensky discusses Lavrov's anti-Semitic statements with Israeli Prime Minister

The Ukrainian president spoke about his activities in the international political arena on Wednesday, May 4.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Benet, during which he condemned outrageous statements by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov about “Jewish anti-Semitism.”

He announced this in a traditional address on the night of May 5.

Zelensky welcomed the Israeli prime minister on Independence Day, and also discussed the situation in the east of our state, especially in Mariupol.

“We also discussed the scandalous and completely unacceptable statements of the Russian Foreign Minister, which outraged the whole world,” the president noted.

In addition, the Ukrainian president held talks with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, agreeing on the next diplomatic steps needed for peace and how to bring all war criminals to justice. “Every Russian military man and every commander who killed, tortured and abused our people,” Zelensky stressed.

On the same day, the President of Ukraine addressed the people of Denmark on the occasion of the Day of Liberation of this country from Nazism.

“Every year in May, all Europeans, all decent people on earth remember this feat. Victory over the most terrible evil in the history of mankind. Victory in the war against Nazism. But to remember is not just to remember. It means remembering and really trying to never again allow what the Nazis brought to Europe,” Zelensky said.

According to the president, it is the Ukrainians, together with partners in the anti-war coalition, who are holding back those who “have definitely forgotten what people were happy about in 1945.” “If everyone in Russia really remembered, this war would simply not start now,” he stressed.
