The German government is taking a step towards reducing Russian gas imports.
An agreement was signed there on the receipt of two floating LNG import terminals and the start of their work before the end of this year.
Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak wrote about this on his page on the social network.
“Höegh LNG has reportedly signed binding agreements with the German government to charter two floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs) from its fleet to operate in Germany for 10 years.” – wrote Andriy Yermak.
He also added that each ship is capable of receiving up to 170,000 cubic meters of LNG through tankers in one unloading, converting it into a gaseous state on board, and then feeding it into the gas network.
Recall that the Russian invaders filmed their own shelling of Azovstal .
