Buckingham Palace has made a new statement about Her Majesty the Queen’s plans for the near future.
The monarch will reportedly not be attending Buckingham Garden parties this year, but will instead be represented by other members of the royal family, likely Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, as well as Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge.
The 96-year-old Queen Elizabeth II is having mobility difficulties. And although she still receives guests at private audiences in Windsor , and even tries to move around the house without a cane, the queen can no longer go out to the general public.

It is reported that at the events, which will be held for the first time since 2019 (and previously not held due to the pandemic), the queen will not appear for the first time.
Usually every summer up to three parties are held in the garden of Buckingham Palace, as well as another one at Holyroodhouse Palace in Edinburgh, writes Daily Mail . After parties have been canceled over the past two years due to the pandemic, Royal Aides announced this morning that the events will take place again on the next three Wednesdays of this month – 11, 18 and 25 May. And the party at Holyroodhouse will take place on June 29th.
The parties will take place in the year of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and are held for guests in recognition of their positive contribution to society across the UK.

Next Thursday, May 12, will also see the Not Forgotten Association’s Annual Garden Party hosted by the Queen’s daughter, Princess Anne , the charity’s patron.
The Unforgotten Association provides entertainment, leisure and recreation for the wounded or sick, as well as for former military men and women with disabilities.
