The deputy commander of the Azov regiment, Svyatoslav Palamar, denied the information that the Ukrainian military pushed back the Russian invaders from the territory of the Mariupol Azovstal plant.
The deputy commander of the Azov regiment noted that the invaders are still on the territory of the plant, heavy fighting is going on between the Azov people and the invaders.
Palamar said this in a comment to Channel 24.
“Once again: no one knocked out anyone, they ( ed. – Russian military ) are at the plant. Heavy fighting is going on,” said the deputy commander of the Azov regiment.
Meanwhile, one of the fighters of the regiment on social networks reported bloody battles and that there are still civilians on the territory of the plant. These are women, children, as well as the seriously wounded.
Earlier, in a video message, Palamar called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the world community to save the people at Azovstal. According to him, the wounded die in terrible agony, without receiving medical care.
Recall that on May 4, People’s Deputy David Arakhamia said that Russian troops broke through to Azovstal , but communication with Ukrainian defenders remains.
The next day, Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, stated that on May 5, the defenders of Mariupol had pushed back the Russian invaders from the territory of the Azovstal plant.
