To avoid tragic cases due to insect bites, doctors advise those who have previously had a severe allergic reaction to seek help. Doctors also advise carrying a minimum set of medicines for medical care. Typically, syringe pens with adrenaline and hormonal suppositories are used. The doctor can choose the necessary drugs and doses, taking into account possible risks and contraindications.
“First aid for a bee or wasp sting depends on the number of bites, the sensitivity of the victim to the poison and the severity of the allergic reaction. In uncomplicated cases, a cool compress is enough, in more severe situations, they include taking antihistamines and an emergency visit to the doctor,” doctors noted.
