The iQOO Neo 6 SE was presented – the younger version of the iQOO Neo 6 presented a month earlier. However, calling the newcomer “younger” can only be conditional: the company seemed to have decided to redefine the established stereotype about SE-models, which are often only a faded semblance of older models. The fact is that today’s hero almost completely repeats the stuffing of the flagship Neo 6, while moving from Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 to the less hot Snapdragon 870, which some readers will consider more a plus than a downgrade.
In addition to the case common to both models, the iQOO Neo 6 SE has the same 6.62″ AMOLED E4 display, the same 4700 mAh battery with 80 W charging, stereo speakers, an IR remote control, and even the same 64-megapixel main camera with OIS, but the RAM was simplified from LPDDR5 to LPDDR4X.The third and last difference from the base model was the width, the resolution of which was reduced from 12 to 8 megapixels.
But the main weapon of the iQOO Neo 6 SE against competitors, of course, was the price: for all this splendor, the company asks for an incredible 1999, 2299 and 2499 yuan for the 8/128, 8/256 and 12/256 GB versions, respectively. Sales in China will start on May 11, and the buyer will be offered a choice of dark blue, mother-of-pearl and orange colors.
