Mike Hagerty gained fame for his role as Mr. Trigger in the comedy series.
American actor Mike Hagerty, best known for his role in the cult comedy series Friends, has died at the age of 67.
This was announced on Friday, May 6, by his colleague, actress Bridget Everett on Twitter.
“It is with great sadness that the Hagerty family announced his death yesterday in Los Angeles,” actress Everett said in a statement.
The cause of death was not specified.
“A beloved character actor, his love for his native Chicago and family were the cornerstones of his life,” a colleague of the late actor added in a touching obituary.
Mike Hagerty is best known for his role as house manager Mr. Trigger in the hugely popular TV series Friends, which follows the lives of six friends from New York’s Manhattan borough.
The series aired on NBC from September 1994 to May 2004. A total of 236 episodes were filmed. The series won six Emmys and one Golden Globe.
Recall that last year in Moscow died Russian actor Dmitry Gumenetsky , known for his role as the gangster Schmidt in the cult TV series “Brigade”. He was 49 years old and had recently been battling cancer.
