On the evening of May 5, the Russians were aiming at Azot, the threat of ignition of industrial tanks was averted.
At about 18:00, enemy shells hit one of the last gas stations in the Lugansk region and the nearby railway facility of Severodonetsk Azot.
This was told by the head of the OVA Sergei Gaidai.
As a result of the invaders’ attack, sleepers and grass caught fire on a total area of 400 square meters. There was a threat of fire in the tanks of the enterprise. However, the rescuers managed to warn him in time.
“In general, the city was a complete nightmare yesterday. The enemy opened fire on residential areas and infrastructure 16 times. This is half of the recorded number of shelling throughout the region,” Gaidai said.
According to authorities, the Russians killed two more people. The invaders damaged 12 buildings, an electrical substation, and a complex of commercial buildings. Seven more houses were destroyed in Rubizhne, two in Novodruzhesk. There are destructions in Lisichansk, Orekhovy, Gorny, Popasnaya.
Also on the territory of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions over the past day, eleven enemy attacks were destroyed, eight tanks, eleven units of armored combat vehicles and five units of enemy vehicles were destroyed. Air defense units shot down seven unmanned aerial vehicles.
