On Friday, May 6, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Baltic States paid an official visit to Kyiv. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with them.
The head of state called the negotiations with the foreign ministers of the Baltic states “fundamental for Ukraine” in the fight against the Russian aggressor.
The Ukrainian president spoke about this in a traditional video message on Friday, May 6.
“I held a meeting in Kiev with the foreign ministers of the three Baltic states. They consistently support our fight against the Russian invasion. They support us from the first day. I am very grateful. And today, as always, we had a thorough and beneficial conversation for Ukraine. We are coordinating our steps in order to strengthen pressure on Russia. And this is especially important now, when the European Union is preparing a new, already sixth, sanctions package against Russia ,” Zelensky stressed.
Recall, on Friday, May 6, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the Parliament and the people of Iceland. In particular, the head of state in his speech recalled the more than a thousand-year history of relations between the Icelandic and Ukrainian peoples and noted the common values for the citizens of both states.
