On Friday, May 6, 50 women, children and elderly people were evacuated from Azovstal in Mariupol . The evacuation operation will continue tomorrow morning.

About it Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk said .

“Today we carried out the evacuation of civilians from Azovstal. On the way back, we had to pick up people at Port City. Unfortunately, we did not have time. Because the whole day the convoy was forced to stand near Azovstal. There were fights and other provocations. The enemy constantly violated the regime ceasefire. Therefore, the evacuation was extremely slow. However, today we managed to get 50 women, children and elderly people out of Azovstal. Tomorrow morning we will continue the evacuation operation,” she wrote on her Facebook page.

Vereshchuk noted that according to the plan, at 17:00 there should be buses in Port City that will take people to Bezymyanny. There, people from Port City will join the convoy from Azovstal, which will leave for Zaporozhye the next day.

Recall that on the territory of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol, during the ceasefire, Russian invaders from the anti-tank systems knocked out a car that was driving to evacuate civilians. As a result, one fighter died and six were wounded.
