Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba spoke about the current situation with the export of grain, sunflower oil, corn and other agricultural products.
Ukraine faced the problem of exporting grain and other agricultural products because of the war with Russia.
Kuleba stated this on the air of the telethon on April 7.
“The issue of some kind of grain embargo against Russia. Now the issue of food security has been raised globally, because due to Russian aggression against our state, we cannot fully export our grain, sunflower oil, corn and other agricultural products. And in many countries have already seriously increased prices “The UN predicts that in some countries there will be famine because of this. That is, Russian aggression has such global negative consequences for food security,” he said.
Kuleba also noted that work on building alternative export routes continues.
“Our task as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, is to help build alternative export routes for Ukrainian agricultural producers, unblock the ways so that we can sell our grain and saturate the world market and save people from hunger,” the minister stressed. .
Recall that analysts predict that in the conditions of war the indicators of Ukrainian agricultural producers will be at least a third lower than in ordinary years.
