In the temporarily occupied Kakhovka (Kherson region), a former policeman agreed to work in the “people’s militia” of the military of the Russian Federation.
The prosecutor’s office announced that he was suspected of collaborative activities.

The Kherson regional prosecutor’s office issued a suspicion to the ex-policeman of the Kakhovka district police department. According to the investigation, the suspect during the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine voluntarily agreed to take a position in the “people’s militia” illegally created by the occupying authorities.
He was appointed to the position of the so-called “deputy head of the public security department.” The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the investigative department of the Main Department of the National Police of the Kherson region.
The suspect faces imprisonment from 12 to 15 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of 15 years with confiscation of property.
Earlier it became known that in the Kherson region, the prosecutor’s office opened criminal proceedings on the collaboration activities of a resident of Skadovsk.
And in the Nikolaev area the policeman who cooperated with occupiers is detained.
