In the Italian city of Marina di Carrara, a superyacht linked to Russian President Vladimir Putin was arrested due to sanctions.
The 140-meter luxury yacht “Scheherazade” (Scheherazade) costs 700 million dollars.
The arrest of the yacht was reported by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Italy.
“Scheherazade” was under repair in the local port of Marina di Carrara in Tuscany.
The Italian Finance Ministry said the yacht has “significant economic and business ties” with senior officials in the Russian government and under European Union sanctions. About whom exactly there is a speech, it is not informed.
The New York Times wrote in early March that Scheherazade may belong to Putin or someone from the inner circle of the Russian dictator. The owner of the ship is officially unknown – the documents indicate an offshore from the Marshall Islands.
But then investigators from the team of Russian politician Alexei Navalny established that the luxury yacht belongs to Putin.

On the lower deck there are technical rooms, a kitchen, a dining room, meeting rooms, a crew rest area. The main entrance is located on the main deck. She has six guest cabins, a grand dining room and a spa. There are massage rooms, swimming pool, saunas. On the upper deck there is a huge living room, dining room, two cabins for VIPs.
