A khaki fleece sweatshirt worn by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been sold at an auction in the UK.
Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson spoke at a Christie’s charity event held in London. Before the start of the auction, he urged those present not to spare money, because the cost of this item is much higher than the starting price – 50 thousand pounds.
Johnson called Zelensky “one of the most amazing leaders of our time.”
The fact that Mr. Zelensky became president of Ukraine is a disaster for Russian President Vladimir Putin, but a boon for Ukraine and the world, said the British prime minister, writes The Telegraph.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also spoke at the event via video link. The President of Ukraine praised the UK and expressed admiration for the “brave Boris” who came to Kyiv in April.

As a result, Zelensky’s fleece jacket was sold for 90 thousand pounds sterling, which is about UAH 3 million 363 thousand 792.
In addition to the president’s jacket, other items related to Ukraine were presented at the auction. For example, at the auction it was possible to purchase a jug in the form of a rooster, which was presented to Johnson during a walk with the Ukrainian president in Kyiv.
